Documentation disclaimer

This documentation describes typical Maximus features and workflows. Your deployment may differ based on version, configuration, licensing, and enabled modules. Documentation is provided for informational purposes only. It is not a contract, service level commitment, or legal advice. Screenshots and examples use generic data. Always follow your organization's policies and applicable law when conducting security testing.

Authorized security testing

Maximus is designed for authorized defensive and offensive security work — threat modeling, penetration testing, vulnerability management, and related activities — only where you or your organization has explicit permission to assess the targets involved. You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining written authorization before scanning, testing, or accessing any system you do not own. Adversys Inc. does not verify that you hold authorization for your targets. Misuse may result in account suspension and referral to appropriate authorities.

AI and LLM transparency

Maximus includes AI-assisted features (for example, the Maximus assistant). Important facts we want to be clear about: • Your organization configures large language model (LLM) provider profiles in Settings. API keys are stored encrypted per organization. • When you use AI features, prompts and relevant platform context may be sent to the LLM provider you selected (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google). Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. • AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. Human review is required before relying on AI-generated findings, reports, or recommendations. • We do not use your organization's LLM API keys for purposes outside delivering the features you invoke, except as required to operate the service or comply with law.

Multi-tenant data isolation

Maximus is multi-tenant. Each organization (tenant) has isolated users, engagements, projects, credentials, and settings. We design the platform so tenant data does not leak across organization boundaries. Your organization administrator controls membership, roles, and integrations for your tenant.

No warranty on security outcomes

Security tools and documentation reduce risk but cannot guarantee that all vulnerabilities will be found or prevented. Maximus is provided as a professional toolset; outcomes depend on how it is configured and used. See the Terms of Service and License for full warranty disclaimers.
