Threat Modeler Canvas

Function

• Draw data-flow diagrams with components, trust boundaries, flows.
• STRIDE or MAESTRO threat annotations.
• Threat lifecycle: identified → mitigated → accepted → residual.
• Maximus chat with live canvas context — propose threats, controls, diagram changes.
• Export/import diagram JSON.

Add a threat

1. Open Modeler → Canvas (select project if prompted).
2. Select a component or flow on the canvas.
3. Open the threat panel or ask Maximus: “Identify STRIDE threats for this flow.”
4. Review proposed threats → accept or edit.
5. Set threat status as you implement mitigations.

Switch methodology

1. Use the methodology toggle in the sidebar (AI = MAESTRO, Web = STRIDE).
2. MAESTRO layers appear only for MAESTRO projects.
